WNBA legend Diana Taurasi revealed she wants to become part of the ownership group for the Phoenix Mercury, the franchise that is retiring her No. 3 jersey on Sunday. "Ownership is always something that's always been on my mind," Taurasi said Friday. "So, thankfully, I'm in a great place where it hopefully can evolve into something. But, I don't want to just do it and not be around. When I do it, I want to be around because I want to have an influence on where this franchise goes. And obviously being in Phoenix would be the goal."

As a player, Taurasi helped the Mercury win three WNBA championships and was an 11-time WNBA All-Star. Although she is no longer contributing to the growth of the league on the court, Taurasi will likely step into an ownership role in the near future.
