Howard Stern’s lawyer slams ex-assistant’s ‘frivolous’ new claims over ‘fabricated’ NDA in private email

Add Page Six on Google Howard Stern's lawyer excoriated the shock jock's former assistant over what he believes to be "frivolous" accusations in a newly revealed private email.

Leslie Kuhn's attorney John Joseph Leonard submitted a screenshot of the alleged email from Stern's lawyer Andrew Mark Goldsmith in an exhibit filed with the New York County Clerk on Sunday.

Addressing Leonard in the email dated July 24, 2026, Goldsmith slammed Kuhn's intentions to file a second amended complaint alleging that NDAs were "fabricated" during her employment under Howard and his wife, Beth Stern.

"Mr. Stern has already unequivocally, unconditionally and irrevocably waived his right to enforce that agreement against Ms. Kuhn in publicly filed court documents," Goldsmith argued in the email.

"To eliminate any possible doubt (and there should be none), Mr. Stern and each of the other defendants hereby reiterate that they unconditionally and irrevocably waive any and all rights to enforce that agreement against Ms. Kuhn, now or at any time in the future," the email continued.

Stern's attorney claimed that at this point, there should be "no ambiguity" on where they stand.

"Given these binding waivers, the proposed second amended complaint is both futile and frivolous," Goldsmith wrote. "Filing a motion for leave to amend would be vexatious, wasteful and a needless drain on judicial and party resources."

He concluded the email by alerting Leonard that if he were to proceed with the complaint, they "reserve the right to seek sanction," which could mean monetary fines.

On Sunday, Kuhn's lawyer listed proposed amendments to her initial complaint, including that she was "never presented with" and "never signed" the September 2022 Confidentiality Agreement.

The docs also claimed she never sighed the agreement, that the agreement was "fabricated," that the "wet signature on the September 2022 Confidentiality Agreement differs markedly from known specimens of Plaintiffs signature," and that the NDA is "void ab initio," meaning it should be treated as though it never legally existed in the first place.

The legal move came after Howard and Beth, who filed to dismiss Kuhn's case in April, claimed via their lawyers that they waived their rights to enforce the alleged NDA signed by Kuhn.

As Page Six previously reported, Kuhn sued Howard and Beth in April for allegedly creating a hostile work environment while she was working as an executive assistant at their 20,000-square-foot Southampton mansion in New York.

Kuhn claimed that Beth needed help managing mansion staffers and household operations, including the philanthropist's “extensive at-home feline rescue and fostering operations.”

She also alleged that she was fired in February after receiving a letter claiming she was going to be getting a raise to $265,000 and an $80,000 bonus this year.

Furthermore, the former employee claimed that NDAs were "manufactured" and denied ever sigining a confidentiality agreement.

Page Six reported in April that Howard and Beth, who tied the knot in 2008, allegedly asked Kuhn to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which banned her from discussing the Stern family’s personal lives.

Kuhn's lawyer previously told page Six that she felt "muzzled" by her former employers.

Kuhn’s lawyer claimed that she was “entirely muzzled.”

“Which we don’t think is a fair power differential, especially given the fact that as an employee, she is, you know, at a distinct disadvantage in terms of influence and resources,” he said.
