The Mets had lost their previous five games against the Dodgers and snapped a three-game losing streak with Sunday's 8-3 win.
Now, the Mets welcome the Braves for a three-game series beginning at 7:10 p.m. on Monday night at Citi Field.
The Mets have fared well against the Braves, who lead the NL East with a 62-43 record, 5.5 games above the Phillies . The Mets, whose 44-62 record is second-worst in the NL, have grabbed four wins in the teams' seven games this season.

Zac Thornton will be looking to continue his strong first impression as he opens the series on the mound against the Mets' NL East rivals.
Thornton enters his fifth start of his career with a 1-1 record, 1.93 ERA and 0.86 WHIP across 23⅓ innings. The rookie right-hander picked up his first victory last time out on the road against the Brewers when he tossed six scoreless innings, scattering three hits and one walk with two strikeouts.
Thornton has not allowed an earned run in 19 innings, dating back to the first inning against the Phillies back on June 26.
Martin Perez is due to make his 16th start and 20th appearance for the Braves. The 35-year-old left-hander is 6-6 with a 3.38 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. He tossed four scoreless innings against the Padres in his first start out of the All-Star break last time out.
