While we are monitoring the Cleveland Browns’ roster cuts as they get set to name their initial 53-man roster, all eyes will then shift to Monday, when waiver claims are processed, and then teams can start signing players to their 16-man practice squad.
There will be some interesting decisions at quarterback and wide receiver in particular, with respect to who the team is able to retain on its practice squad. 53 + 16 players means the team has the opportunity to retain 69 players from training camp on their roster, but often what we see if that 10-12 of those players were from camp, while the remaining players are guys who were with other teams around the NFL.
This post won’t be updated with tracking news per se until Monday (unless other rumors come in prior to that), but be sure to come to the comments section to list names of guys you want on the practice squad in the mean time. According to FanDuel , the Browns are 225/1 odds to win the Super Bowl, heading into final roster cuts.

8:05 AM: Fans obviously were upset to see that WR Luke Floriea didn’t make the 53-man roster, but there are reasons for it . Just cross your fingers and hope that he clears waivers. As for projections, it seems likely that these guys could be signed to the practice squad:
RB Ahmani Marshall
WR Gage Larvadain
WR Luke Floriea
OL KT Leveston
DE Khordae Syndor
LB Nathaniel Watson
8:00 AM: Good morning, Browns fans! I’ve seen both 12:00 pm ET and 1:00 pm ET listed as times when teams can start signing players to practice squads today. I think that waiver claims end at noon, and they’ll be processed by 1:00 pm ET, but that teams can indeed start signing players to the practice squad at noon.

The Browns officially named their 53-man roster . While we have suspicions of who Cleveland would like to sign to the practice squad, there were two players in particular noted as wanting to be brought back on the practice squad:
DE Logan Fano the first to make the list of “they’d like him back.”
The #Browns are waiving edge Logan Fano with the hope of bringing him back on the practice squad if he clears. So not necessarily the end of Fano vs. Fano matchups on practice. pic.twitter.com/sQQ4MJsZTu

And then, there’s fan-favorite WR Luke Floriea:
#Browns have waived Mentor, Ohio native and Kent State product Luke Floriea, who had a great preseason, source says. They'd like to sign him back to the practice squad if he clears waivers.
