The summer transfer window in Europe is building towards an action-packed conclusion.
Transfer dealings in the aftermath of a World Cup can come with an extra slice of glamour and the biggest clubs in the game have already been active.
Real Madrid have signed Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig for € 140 million ($161m), while Morgan Rogers and Elliot Anderson are the two most expensive English players in history following their respective moves to Chelsea and Manchester City .

When is transfer deadline day? Summer 2026 window closing date and time
The transfer deadline for Premier League clubs falls on Tuesday, September 1 at 11 p.m. local time (6 p.m. ET). The deadline for Spain's top clubs in La Liga is one minute before that on the same day, while Italy has a 2 p.m. ET deadline on September 1.
The deadlines in France and Germany are exactly 24 hours earlier than the one for Serie A teams.
The Dutch Eredivisie window closes on September 2, two days before the deadline for Turkish Super Lig clubs to make signings.
