The 2027 NFL Draft class is already generating plenty of excitement ahead of week zero, with several college football stars emerging as potential first-round picks well before the draft process officially gets underway.
Bleacher Report's scouting department recently released its initial top 25 big board , highlighting a group loaded with elite quarterbacks, pass rushers and skill-position talent. Among the names receiving early recognition is Florida running back Jadan Baugh.
Baugh has been a staple on early draft projections throughout the offseason. The Gators' running back landed at No. 13 and was the highest-graded player at his position, earning a grade of 8.1, which projects him as a day-one starter in the league and a late first- to early-second-round draft selection.
Baugh is one of three running backs to crack the top 18 of the initial rankings, putting the Gators standout ahead of Ahmad Hardy (Missouri) and Kewan Lacy (Ole Miss), and firmly among the nation's top early NFL draft prospects as he enters his third season in Gainesville.
Last season, Baugh broke out as one of the SEC's most productive running backs in 2025, establishing himself as a key piece of Florida's offense. The workhorse back started all 12 games and finished with 1,170 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 220 carries, averaging 5.3 yards per attempt, while adding 33 receptions for 210 yards and two receiving touchdowns.
He capped off the season with his best performance against Florida State, rushing for a career-high 266 yards and two touchdowns on 38 carries — the second-highest single-game rushing total in program history.
Baugh's 2025 season was special, and with the 2026 college football season approaching, he will have an opportunity to continue building on his first two seasons at Florida and solidify himself on NFL draft boards.
