While the on-field performances of Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson seemingly left the two appearing close to neck-and-neck, Browns head coach Todd Monken revealed on Monday that Watson would be the team's starter in Week 1.
The news wasn't exactly well-received by the Browns fanbase on social media, and there are plenty of fair arguments that starting Sanders would have made sense. Regardless, it appears Sanders took the news like a pro, according to a report from The MMQB's Albert Breer .
Breer reported that Sanders took the news "in stride" and, interestingly, highlighted the topic of the second-year quarterback playing "the long game."
