Bayern Munich never had success in prying Bradley Barcola away from Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool might have the same issue.
Per L’Equipe , the Reds have submitted a massive bid to PSG for the the French attacker:
After several days of discussions, Liverpool decided to move to a more concrete phase by sending an offer estimated at €115 million to Paris Saint-Germain for Bradley Barcola. It is expected to be rejected, but it is not insignificant.
The outcome of negotiations between Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool for the transfer of Bradley Barcola is still a long way off. But, with just over three weeks until the transfer window closes, the Reds have decided to speed things up. According to English sources, the Premier League club’s management is expected to submit an offer estimated at €115 million for the French international (28 caps, 6 goals).
The details of the offer, including its fixed and variable components, various bonuses, and the percentage of any future transfer fee, are not yet known. However, this offer should allow Liverpool to move into a more concrete phase of their strategy to sign the 23-year-old winger.
However, Liverpool is expecting its €115 million bid for Barcola to be stiff-armed and sent back, which seems wild:
In England, however, there are few illusions about Paris Saint-Germain’s expected response. It is expected to be negative. In this matter, the Parisian management now claims it could accept an offer exceeding €150 million, excluding bonuses, after having long maintained that Barcola was not for sale.
PSG is in a position of power with this transfer and does not need to make a sale — even if Barcola has already indicated that he wants to leave. Liverpool will probably have to decide whether Barcola is going to be worth a bigger bid or if it will need to look elsewhere for another player.
