Jhostynxon Garcia never got to realize his full potential with the Boston Red Sox .
But on Wednesday, the young hitter known as "The Password" returned to MLB with the Pittsburgh Pirates to take another chance at sticking around in the major leagues.
Garcia was called up by the Pirates and slotted into their Wednesday afternoon lineup batting eighth.
Fittingly, he was matched up with another former Red Sox player, Eduardo Rodriguez, who was on the mound for the Diamondbacks.
Garcia had already played 13 games at the MLB level earlier this season. In that time, he was 7-for-35 with a double.
He also played five games with Boston last season and was 1-for-7 in that time.

Garcia has spent the majority of this season at Triple-A Indianapolis. At that level, he has appeared in 58 games and hit 11 doubles and seven home runs. He's batting .270 there with a .762 OPS.
The outfielder was moved in the offseason as part of the trade that brought pitcher Johan Oviedo to the Red Sox.
Garcia was originally a Red Sox international signing in July of 2019 and worked his way up through the system.
A combination of his name, his nickname and his hitting ability made him a fan favorite as he moved through Boston's system.
Now, he's trying to find a place to belong in Pittsburgh, where the Pirates are having an impressive season that has them in the wild card mix in the National League.
