Thomas Muller reminded the world why he was considered one of the most underrated players in soccer with a sensational All-Star game shooting challenge performance.
Muller left Bayern Munich in July 2025 to join the Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS. Now 36 years old, Muller wanted to play in a less demanding and intense league to close out his career.
But coming into the 2026 MLS All-Star week, perhaps the former World Cup winner wanted to remind the world of just how good he really is.

Thomas Muller breaks MLS All-Star shooting challenge record
Thomas Muller took part in the MLS All-Star shooting challenge in Charlotte, North Carolina last night, where he had a stellar performance.
After missing some shots in his initial flurry, Muller was a machine, hitting every target in sight before ending with a score of 79.
This set a new record for the MLS All-Star shooting challenge, one that Brazilian midfielder Evander of FC Cincinnati would tie right after him.
Funnily enough, Evander also held the previous record of 72 points, which he set at last year’s All-Star week. Upon seeing Muller break his record, Evander decided not to let the German get the last laugh.
Moments like these, where former star players get to show the MLS how good they are, often help remind fans that they are witnessing some of the all-time greats right in front of them.
MLS All-Star week culminating today with final game

The game kicks off at 8 PM EST, as both sides will look to claim the crown of the best soccer league in North America.
