See the full story · 1 sourcesLa Liga heavyweights Real Madrid have on Sunday closed a deal for the club’s latest high-profile attacking addition.
This comes amid confirmation that Los Blancos have beaten out the stiff competition to an agreement for RB Leipzig sensation Yan Diomandé.
Youngster Diomandé has of course dominated the media headlines surrounding Real Madrid for several days now. After turning focus towards reinforcing the wide areas in José Mourinho’s squad, the Ivorian was identified as something of a priority target.
The Bernabéu brass, in turn, saw a big-money proposal for Diomandé rejected earlier this week.
But as alluded to above, after returning to the negotiating table with an improved offer on Sunday, those in a position of power in Spain’s capital appear to have landed their man.
As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:
‘BREAKING: YAN DIOMANDE TO REAL MADRID, HERE WE GO! Agreement closed tonight with RB Leipzig for fee over €100m for the Ivorian winger. Diomande will fly to Madrid this week for medical tests and contract signing until June 2031.’
