Premier League champions Arsenal are willing to make Real Madrid Vinícius Jr. the highest-paid player in club history to lure the Brazilian to England this summer.
That’s according to The Telegraph, who have on Sunday provided an insight into the numbers.
Winger Vinícius has of course seen his future in Spain’s capital thrown into serious doubt over the last 48 hours. As the 26-year-old’s Real Madrid contract terms continue to wind down, the aforementioned Arsenal have entered the fray for his signature.
Mikel Arteta, after a statement attacking signing this summer, has earmarked Vinícius as the ideal profile to take his squad to the next level.
And as alluded to above, the Spanish tactician appears to have the full backing of those in the boardroom at The Emirates.
As per a report from The Telegraph, ahead of the expiration of Vini’s deal at the Bernabéu in 12 months’ time:
‘£400,000 a week. That is what Vinicius Junior earns at Real Madrid, and it is a figure Arsenal are prepared to surpass to land arguably the biggest signing in their history.’
