AJ Brown is now gearing up for his first season with the New England Patriots following the offseason trade from the Philadelphia Eagles.
Following the Super Bowl win, things turned slightly sour for Brown in Philadelphia, which has seen the wide receiver keen on a move away.
The opportunity to reunite with former head coach Mike Vrabel proved an option too good to pass up on.
Brown joined the Patriots in a deal that saw last season’s Super Bowl losers send over a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick.
However, there are some fans from across the league who are of the opinion Brown already looks fed up in New England.

What AJ Brown said about joining the New England Patriots
The Patriots will be hoping to continue their development under Vrabel having lost in the Super Bowl in February to the Seattle Seahawks.
“I’m still getting comfortable each and every day, and I’m grateful,” Brown said on Monday.
“As for the offense, I’m in a pretty good spot – I’d say I’m about 90% there. Now it’s really just about going out, executing, and getting on the same page with Drake each and every day. But I’m really confident.”
Brown signed the Eagles training facility wall before leaving for the Patriots having spent four years in Philadelphia after joining from the Tennessee Titans.
Philadelphia Eagles fans think AJ Brown is already regretting New England Patriots trade
The New England Patriots have swapped out Stefon Diggs for Brown in what they hope will be a significant upgrade.
Brown took to the podium on Monday after training camp practice, but many picked up on his inability to hold eye contact or crack a smile despite getting his trade to New England.
One Eagles fan said: ‘The honeymoon is over. All that enthusiasm that he had is gone.’
Picking up on his body language, another said: ‘Bro couldn’t even look anyone in the eye’.
Brown was keen to join a team that would make him WR1 after concerns in Philadelphia over his lack of targets.
‘Bro sounds more miserable than he was in Philly,’ said another NFL fan on X.
Another fan also noticed a change in Brown’s attitude since joining the Patriots, they said: ‘Yeah, he’s a wee bit different than when he first got there’.
Although Brown’s receptions in 2025 were an increase on his 2024 numbers, his total receiving yards (1,003) were down on the previous year (1,079).
One fan was quick to reply: ‘He’s already done lol.’
Whilst another said: ‘He looks miserable already’.
