Texas A&M's transfer defensive end drew much attention on social media Wednesday, following his appearance in front of the media after the Aggies ' sixth preseason practice.
Former Northwestern edge rusher Anto Saka has impressed with his physicality, quickness and freakish athleticism entering his senior season playing college football. His physical attributes got much traction on social media, with many questioning his age. For reference, Saka is just 22 years old, but he could very well pass as a 12-year NFL veteran.
He earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2024 and 2025 for his contributions with the Wildcats. Through 33 total games and 11 starts, Saka compiled 41 tackles, 14.0 tackles for loss, 12.0 sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and seven quarterback pressures. Now, he joins head coach Mike Elko and coordinator Lyle Hemphill's gritty, physical and hard-nosed defensive unit, which could spell massive things for the rebuilding of the Aggie defensive line in 2026.
His appearance in front of the media on Wednesday sparked many funny comments and reactions throughout the college football landscape, including from various media personalities in the space. Here are some of the best and most hilarious social media reactions to Saka's physique and attributes:
Cousin Shane believes Saka may have been his classmate
We may need to check his birth certificate. I’m pretty sure we went to school together.

Could Saka pass as the strength and conditioning coach?
I don't know how A&M convinced the NCAA the Anto Saka was a college senior and not a 35-year-old S&C Coach, but I'm glad we did.

Saka could pass as an NFL veteran
"He looks like a 12-year NFL vet." 😳 Former A&M QB Stephen McGee couldn't believe Anto Saka looks like THAT as a college defensive end 🤯🤣 pic.twitter.com/htGwOPLNrZ

SEC Defensive Newcomer of the Year incoming?
I predicted Anto Saka to be the SEC Defensive Newcomer of the Year, which is ironic considering that this man is at least 45. https://t.co/SGgpWpS0A4

Solid Chuck Norris reference
When Chuck Norris died, his spirit entered Anto Saka. https://t.co/UP8sULSqM2

Saka was born in 2004
Remember Ron McKelvey who was a 30 year old pretending to be 23 year old player for the Longhorns? Well Anto Saka is really a 36 year old man and he is not doing as good of a job hiding it as Ron did https://t.co/q6Qtktgpxy

Bud Elliot with a hilarious take
Everyone else is playing under the 5-for-5 rule and Saka is apparently governed by the 15-for-15 rule. https://t.co/YfiGPoW3f0

Massive testament to the work of Tommy Moffitt at Texas A&M
THIS DUDE IS 22 YEARS OLD (subnote: Tommy Moffit remains one of the best strength coaches in the country) https://t.co/ptm1eEdZEZ

Good luck against Saka
I’ve run into some misguided parents who really think their kid can play D1 football. This is what a D1 defensive lineman looks like in 2026. Good luck. https://t.co/OYazsuwQCD
