Fair, Goen close out summer IGA season

YORKTOWN—The Indiana Golf Association’s Junior Tour made its final stop of the summer with the Junior Tour Championship at TPC Woodland Trails in Yorktown with juniors Isaac Fair from Frankton and Addison Goen of Anderson finishing in the middle of the pack.

In the 16-19 age divisions, Fair carded a 7-over par 79 to place 13th in the 25-player boys field while Goen finished up with a 13-over par 85 and tied for sixth in the 13-player girls tournament.

Fair’s round was highlighted a 1-under par showing on the front nine with three birdies. He opened with a bogey on the first, but followed with a birdie on the par-five second and remained at even-par until a bogey on the fourth. With birdies on the par-four sixth and eighth holes, Fair finished the last five holes on the front nine at 2-under par to make the turn at 35.
