It was inevitable that Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey was going to get a signature shoe. All of the great players in the game eventually get one that signifies their rise in stardom and what they bring to the floor on an every night basis.
Maxey is a 2-time All-Star and is coming off a season in which he averaged 28.3 points and set the tone for Philadelphia on a nightly basis. Things will certainly change for him with the additions of Jaylen Brown and LeBron James around him, but the star guard is looking to continue his rise in stardom and being able to make an impact for the Sixers.
His first signature shoe, the Maxey V1 for New Balance, will be released on Oct. 2 globally. He sat down with B/R Kicks to break down his first shoe as he continues his rise in the league. He singled out his love for Marvel and the popular Spider-Man for his inspiration.
