Officers were called around 9 a.m. after the owner arrived at the house he is renovating in the Southwest Side neighborhood. Inside, he had found racist graffiti, according to a police report obtained by the Sun-Times. Someone had written “F*ck China” in black paint on a wall, the report said. The owner is a man of Asian descent.
There was other damage inside as well. The owner told police the intruders had damaged three electrical panels and removed copper pipes. He told officers he believed the intruder may have used a ladder to enter the home through a second-floor window and left through the home's front door.
No arrests have been made.
