The NFL 53-man roster deadline was Sunday at 6 p.m. EDT following the preseason.
The 2026 NFL regular season will kick off Sept. 9 with Seattle hosting New England at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington (8:20 p.m. EDT, NBC). The Seahawks terminated the contract of former Vol Velus Jones Jr. on Sunday.
The first week of the NFL regular season will also feature the Rams against San Francisco on Sept. 10 at Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia (8:35 p.m. EDT, Netflix).
Former Tennessee defensive lineman Jaxson Moi was waived by the Rams on Sunday. The 49ers also waived defensive lineman and former Vol Bryson Eason following the preseason.
