The two-time All-Star and 2021 American League Cy Young Award winner from Brentwood High School is headed to the San Diego Padres from the San Francisco Giants , who acquired Joniel Hernandez and Miguel Mendez in return.
The Padres made the announcement on Aug. 3 near the MLB trade deadline.
It will be Ray's sixth team in 13 MLB seasons. He will be a free agent after this year.
