Seahawks score a pair of explosive first quarter touchdowns
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock connected with tight end Elijah Arroyo on a 36-yard touchdown as the backup offense scored on the Tennessee Titans defensive starters to open their preseason Week 2 contest.
Arroyo was wide open twice on the drive, putting linebackers and safeties in a bind with routes outside the hashes. He got loose on play action here, and the end zone angle shows the corner route’s impeccable feel.

He’s already an explosive play waiting to happen. In the preseason, it’s no surprise to see him dominate considering the talent level, but it’s also great to see him looking healthy and running crisp routes.
The Arroyo from the first drive resembled the one the Seahawks’ scouting department saw at the 2025 Senior Bowl. The momentum in Brian Fleury’s system is particularly encouraging considering his previous role as a tight ends coach, too.
It wasn't the only big play the Seahawks offense had in the first half. On their second drive, running back Jacardia Wright exploded for a 69-yard touchdown strike. These scores gave the Seahawks a 13-3 lead in the first quarter.
