Last week, developers got access to new AirPods firmware for select models.
That beta firmware, with build number 9A5336b , was initially exclusive to the developer beta.
But now one week later, the exact same firmware is rolling out for public beta users too.
New AirPods firmware is available for the following models:
Essentially, your AirPods need an H2 chip to support the latest beta firmware.
iOS 27 will bring a variety of new features to AirPods, including a couple changes exclusive to AirPods Pro 3 .
This beta firmware will be released around the same time as iOS 27 launches to the public.
Essentially, AirPods firmware combined with the iOS 27 software update serves as a package deal to support all the new features.
