Not long after medical examiner Dr. Barbara Olson took the stand and began describing the autopsy of Cora Clancy, Lindsay Clancy, the 5-year-old's mother, broke down and began sobbing.
"I can’t do this," Clancy said.

Clancy faces first-degree murder charges in connection with the deaths of her three children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan.
Clancy, 32, took the lives of her three children before attempting suicide on Jan. 24, 2023.

Clancy does not dispute that she killed her children . Instead, her defense contends she was suffering from severe postpartum depression brought on by being overmedicated on prescriptions.

According to evidence and testimony presented in court , five doctors prescribed Clancy with the following medication before she killed her three kids:

Following Clancy's breakdown, Judge William Sullivan ordered a recess and excused the jury from the courtroom.

Two women could be seen appearing to console Clancy while she was crying inside the courtroom.
Sullivan was also forced to call a break on Wednesday after Clancy began crying while a different medical examiner, Renee Stonebridge, gave testimony about her examination of some body parts of Clancy's three kids.
