Caitlin Clark’s WNBA career has been all about breaking records, but no one expected her to be shattering her own records just yet!
Clark has been one of the most dominant WNBA players to enter the league in recent memory, as she quickly became a household name upon arrival.
But Clark didn’t just rely on her fame from the NCAA tournament, as she got to work quickly with some incredible performances.

Caitlin Clark breaks record for most 20-point, 10-assist games in a WNBA season
With her 22-point, 10-assist double-double against the New York Liberty, Caitlin Clark notched her ninth game with 20+ points and 10+ assists this season.
In doing so, she has set a new record for the most 20-point, 10-assist games in a WNBA season. The record she broke was set by none other than Clark herself in her rookie year.
In 2024, Clark had eight 20-point, 10-assist games in a season, which shattered the previous record set by Courtney Vandersloot in 2017, who had four such games.
Clark already has the most 20-point, 10-assist games in WNBA history with 19, once again shattering Vandersloot’s previous record of 10.
The former University of Iowa standout has been a statistical marvel since entering the WNBA, as she has delivered some all-time great scoring performances throughout her career.
And if she continues to produce at this level, she will end up setting another WNBA record once the season is over.
Currently, Clark is averaging 21.7 points, 8.2 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game this season. She is averaging more assists per game than any other player in the WNBA this season.
If she can sustain these numbers until the end of the season, Clark will become the first player in WNBA history to lead the league in assists while being a top-three scorer in the same season.
For all the talk of Clark being overshadowed this season by newer players like Paige Bueckers, the Indiana Fever guard is showing that she is still one of the best offensive players in the league.
While some fans grow frustrated with Clark’s lack of effort on the defensive end or her relentless complaining and aggression toward the referees, there is no denying just how much of an impact she has on the offensive end of the court.
The Fever currently have the fourth-best record in the WNBA, behind the Minnesota Lynx, the Golden State Valkyries, and the Las Vegas Aces.
With Clark’s recent form, the Fever will be hoping to push past at least one of those teams and earn a top-three record in the league.
If they manage to do so, Clark will be considered one of the favourites to win MVP this season alongside reigning MVP A’ja Wilson.
