Roma have set their sights on Rodrigo Mora to strengthen their attack.
Discussions with Porto have been ongoing since Sunday to try to give Gian Piero Gasperini the first of two attacking wingers he has requested.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma (who don’t want to exceed €50 million) have put three offers on the table to Porto.
One is a loan deal between €7 and €8 million, with a buyout option set at €42-€43 million.
Alternatively, the Giallorossi are offering €25 million for a permanent purchase, with another €25 million to be paid to Porto next year.
Finally, the third and final option involves purchasing the player for €25 million, leaving the Portuguese club with a 50% interest in any future resale.
Di Marzio reiterates that the gap between Roma and Porto for Rodrigo Mora is narrowing. The Portuguese club particularly appreciates the Giallorossi’s willingness to find alternative solutions: work continues while waiting for the final confirmation.
Jorge Mendes (Rodrigo Mora’s agent) has reportedly flown to Porto to speak with Villas Boas: the turning point could come within a few hours.
