The Atlanta Falcons trimmed their roster from 90 players down to 53 players for the NFL deadline. The moves included a surprising trade with the Chicago Bears.
Falcons general manager Ian Cunningham made a trade with his former team and acquired defensive tackle Gervon Dexter in exchange for corner Clark Phillips and a fifth-round pick.

All 32 NFL teams had until 6 p.m. Sunday to finalized their rosters.
Among the notable cuts for the Falcons: running back Tyler Goodson, former draft pick Bralen Trice, defensive tackle Chris Williams and former Grayson High School star Wanya Morris, who the team traded for in June.
The Falcons did elect to keep quarterbacks Cooper Rush and Jack Strand on the roster with Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa with the starter for Week 1 undecided.
Atlanta kicks off its first season under head coach Kevin Stefanski on Sept. 13 in Pittsburgh.
