Puka Nacua isn’t holding out or in with the Los Angeles Rams, and is instead choosing to participate as usual. When asked about his plans, Puka basically expressed he just wants to play ball, and he wants to be with his teammates.
Now, will there come a time where Nacua wants a new contract? He may want it now. But if he continues to ball, he’s going to get paid at the NFL level either by the Rams through a long contract, franchise tag or by another team entirely. Either way, unless something changes, Nacua will get paid more than his current rookie.
So, for now, Puka can focus on football. The contract will work itself out as long as he keep producing. And seemingly Puka being ready for 2026 is one less thing the Rams will have to worry about, for now.

There have been things outside of my control that I think have impacted the way I’ve been able to kind of focus and enjoy this game of football. But coming out here and seeing that jersey No. 12 hung up in my locker is something that I don’t take for granted and being around this group of guys, I think of all the guys that have reached out in this offseason to be there by my side, and then when we’re here in the meeting rooms, just the the level of connection that I feel like I have with all the guys out there.
