Eagles’ Vic Fangio roasts Dr. Anthony Fauci silence in training camp press conference
The Philadelphia Eagles are back in training camp ahead of the 2026 NFL season, but defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is drawing attention for his attempt at comedy.
The longtime NFL defensive coordinator took the podium at his Eagles press conference Thursday. However, he kicked off the presser with a statement targeting Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Fangio stunned reporters Thursday when opening up with his Fauci joke. He followed up his original joke with several others throughout the press conference.
That includes when a reporter asked Fangio about the health of Jonathan Greenard and the availability of Eagles legend Brandon Graham. Fangio joked that the journalist got “Fauci’d” after being denied a response from general manager Howie Roseman.

Eagles’ DC uses his “Fifth Amendment”

Fangio was quick to bring up Fauci’s July 29 hearing in front of the Senate Homeland Security Committee. That’s when the former U.S. Chief Medical Advisor invoked his fifth amendment right on over 100 questions thrown his direction.
“I’m gonna be like Fauci and just take the Fifth Amendment on all questions,” Fangio joked. “Did you guys see that? Oh my god.”

The Eagles are currently preparing for the 2026 NFL season after losing during the Wild Card Round last season. This offseason’s already been an intriguing one for the franchise after trading away star wide receiver A.J. Brown .
Meanwhile, Philadelphia fans are hopeful that Jalen Hurts and Co. will be able to find their form of past seasons, including when the team won the Super Bowl two years ago.
