What channel is Brewers vs Mets on tonight? Time, TV, streaming
After playing 10 of their last 13 games against teams that would currently qualify for the National League postseason, the Milwaukee Brewers face the struggling New York Mets for three games starting Tuesday, Aug. 25 at Citi Field in New York.
The Brewers went 5-5 in those 10 games (3-1 vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers, 2-1 vs. the Atlanta Braves and 0-3 vs. the San Diego Padres). They hold a one-game lead for the best record in baseball over the Dodgers and would win the tiebreaker against them.
Like the Dodgers, the Mets have one of the highest MLB payrolls but that hasn't meant victories. Former Brewers general manager David Stearns signed Juan Soto to a $765 million contract in 2025, but New York missed the playoffs last season and is 59-72 this season, 11½ games out of the last wild-card playoff spot. Only the San Francisco Giants and Cincinnati Reds have scored fewer runs than the Mets in the National League.
Meanwhile, the Brewers need 19 wins to reach 100 for the first time in franchise history. They've won eight of 10 series since the all-star break.
