Kaden Prather is joining the Green Bay Packers on a one-year contract, according to a report Thursday, July 30, from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network on X, formerly Twitter.
The 23-year-old Maryland graduate appeared in 11 games during the Kings' run to a United Football League championship , logging 10 receptions for 149 yards.
The Buffalo Bills selected Prather in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft after he caught 56 passes for 624 yards and four touchdowns for the Terrapins as a senior. His time with the team was short-lived, however, after a hamstring injury sidelined him for a large portion of training camp.
The Bills waived Prather last August. He was subsequently placed on injured reserve.
Prather is the sixth Kings player to land on an NFL roster since the team's inaugural season in the UFL ended, joining kicker Tanner Brown (New Orleans Saints), fellow wide receivers Tarik Black and Lucky Jackson (Detroit Lions), outside linebacker Cam Gill (Carolina Panthers) and running back Ian Wheeler (Buffalo Bills).
