He owns virtually every significant rushing record in franchise history and ranks fifth in NFL history with 14,918 career rushing yards. During his time with the Vikings, Peterson scored 102 touchdowns, including 97 rushing touchdowns and five receiving touchdowns, making him one of only two players in franchise history to surpass the 100-touchdown mark while wearing a Vikings uniform.
His unforgettable 2012 season remains one of the greatest individual campaigns by a running back. Just one year after suffering a torn ACL, Peterson came within reach of the NFL’s single-season rushing record while earning the league’s Most Valuable Player Award. To this day, he remains the most recent non-quarterback to win the NFL MVP.
