Real Madrid and Almeria struggling to close deal over academy midfielder’s transfer
Real Madrid and Almeria have been in talks for a long time now over the transfer of the club’s young prospect Manuel Angel.
The 22-year-old star, in fact, was said to be very close to completing his move to Almeria with only the final details remaining to be negotiated.
Real Madrid, for their part, were set to pocket a sum of €6 million from Angel’s sale and were also set to retain 50% of his rights.
Complication strikes
As reported by Ben Fernandes Santos in a recent update, Real Madrid and Almeria are still unable to close the final details regarding Angel’s exit, leaving the progress at status quo.

Despite only the final details being left to be ironed out, the two clubs are struggling to add the finishing touch to the transfer, likely owing to differences in the terms of the deal.
As matters stand, Angel’s future thus remains completely open and the coming days will be decisive to see which direction his next step turns out to be in.
After all, there may well be more clubs to enter the scene hearing of the change in his situation, and Real Madrid could well end up securing even better terms.
Competition arriving
As Almeria begin to slip up and lose control of the Manuel Angel saga, other Spanish clubs remain alert to the situation and are looking to swoop in.

The Spanish journalist confirms that Cadiz have now entered the scene strongly and are interested in signing the player this summer if Almeria loosen their grip on him.
The demand for the youngster is not surprising in the slightest, especially given how he has been one of the youth team’s most highly rated assets in recent years.
Angel was the engine of Alvaro Arbeloa’s treble-winning side not too long ago and has even made multiple first-team appearances for Real Madrid.
His vision, control and ability to dictate the game in midfield make him stand out, and an exit is all but sure this summer given the competition at Real Madrid. The only question that remains is over his destination and the transfer fee.
