For the first time in more than five years, Trout went 4-for-4 to lead the Angels to a 4-3 win.
The last time Trout recorded four hits in a game was on April 26, 2021 against the Texas Rangers.
With his four hits, the three-time American League Most Valuable Player moved up on two of the Angels' all-time hitting lists.
Trout passed long-time Angels right fielder Tim Salmon on the doubles list. Now, Trout ranks second in franchise history with 340 career doubles. He is still trailing three-time All-Star left fielder Garret Anderson for the all-time lead. Anderson recorded 489 career doubles across 2,013 career games with the Angels.
Trout's three singles on Sunday pushed him to fourth on the Angels' all-time singles list.
Trout, who will turn 35 on Aug. 7, has recorded 1,014 career singles and sits behind Anderson (1,572), center fielder Darin Erstad (1,082) and designated hitter Brian Downing (1,062) on the franchise's all-time leaderboard.
Anderson, Salmon and Erstad all won the 2002 World Series title while playing for the Angels.
Overall this season, Trout has slashed .247/.398/.468 with an .866 OPS and 18 home runs. The 2026 American League All-Star ranks third in the AL in on-base percentage and 12th in slugging percentage this season.
But the Angels still have the worst record in the AL and are nearly tied with the Colorado Rockies for the worst in MLB . The upcoming trade deadline will be a crucial period for the Angels' front office this season.
