— Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) July 25, 2026 James is still one of the top players in the game, astonishingly, as he averaged 20.9 points in the 2025-26 season with the Los Angeles Lakers in his 23rd season. As he joins the Sixers, he doesn't need to be a superstar when considering the talent around him and the younger pieces he can lean on. It takes pressure off James during the regular season and saves him for what Philadelphia hopes will be a deep postseason run.
