Rocket Companies announced earlier this year that it would not exercise its sponsorship option after the 2026 season, bringing an end to a tournament that debuted in 2019. As the tournament draws near, some of the top names in the world of golf will be teeing it up.
Jordan Spieth, Chris Gotterup and Brooks Koepka were expected to be the headliners for the event, but the latter made a sudden change to his schedule.

On Wednesday morning, Koepka withdrew from the tournament, which opened the door for Ben Silverman to land a spot in the Rocket Classic. The five-time major champion wasn't the only one to drop out of the event, though.
Keith Mitchell, Blades Brown, Maverick McNealy, Dan Brown and Jason Day all withdrew from the Rocket Classic before Koepka's decision to drop out, bringing the total withdrawals to six. Matt Kuchar, Lanto Griffin, Zac Blair and Hayden Springer – along with Silverman – earned spots in the field after their withdrawals.
The tournament tees off on Thursday morning as the PGA Tour season begins to wind down with playoff coming later this summer.
