The Miami Dolphins are approaching the 2026 NFL season with a very questionable wide receiver room. After trading Jaylen Waddle and cutting Tyreek Hill, this is not a very talented group of WRs.
Instead of rolling into 2026 with Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert, Caleb Douglas, and Tutu Atwell as their top receivers, the Dolphins should try to get Malik Willis a legitimate receiving option.
That's why Moe Moton of Bleacher Report named the Dolphins the best landing spot for free agent veteran six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen.

"WR Keenan Allen: Miami Dolphins," Moton writes. "... Even if rookie third-round wideout Chris Bell is ready to play in Week 1, the Dolphins need another set of veteran hands to help pace their aerial attack."
The Dolphins could use a quality veteran receiver, as their current group is full of a lot of unknowns, whether it's journeyman veterans or rookies who have yet to play in the NFL.
Getting Willis a reliable, trustworthy target in the passing game would make a lot of sense. Allen is 34 years old and would not be a long-term option for the Dolphins.
But, he shouldn't cost too much in free agency, and he'd instantly be the team's top receiver. Plus, Allen was very productive for the Los Angeles Chargers last season.

In 17 games, he caught 81 passes for 777 yards and four touchdowns in his 13th season in the NFL. In his 13-year NFL career, Allen has 12,051 receiving yards and 70 touchdowns on 1,055 receptions on 1,552 targets in 171 games played.
That's some very encouraging production for a veteran receiver, and he'd be a great option for Willis this upcoming season.
Relying on Atwell, Tolbert, Washington, or the rookies in Bell, Douglas, or even Kevin Coleman Jr. would be asking a lot of that WR room.
While Allen isn't exactly a true No. 1 WR at this stage of his career, being a reliable veteran receiving option for Willis is all he really needs to be in this offense.
Considering most other teams' wide receiver rooms are complete, the Dolphins are an obvious landing spot for Allen, and as Moton argued, his best landing spot for the 2026 NFL season.
